As of today, 97% of our seniors have finalized their college decisions, with 71% planning to attend a four-year college and 15% planning to attend a two-year college this fall. This year has once again been extraordinary, marked by outstanding college acceptances, substantial scholarship awards, and strong financial aid packages. We are incredibly proud of our seniors and all they have accomplished.

This application season, our 2,529 seniors submitted over 24,500 college applications to institutions nationwide—an average of 9.7 applications per student. Their dedication paid off: Students received 16,452 acceptances, including 15,177 to four-year colleges. On average, each student received 6.5 acceptances.

These students—and many others—are heading to some of the country’s most prestigious institutions, including Stanford, Tufts, Notre Dame, Northwestern, the University of Chicago, the University of Pennsylvania, and Washington University in St. Louis. They do so with major scholarships and critical wraparound supports. Additionally, 31 of our seniors will be attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) this fall—an exciting milestone! Notably, five students will enroll at Jackson State University and another five at Southern University and A&M College.

Collectively, our seniors have earned over $643 million in scholarships—a powerful testament to their talent, determination, and promise. This year, we were thrilled to award our first-ever to a Golder College Prep student who will attend the University of Michigan. We also proudly awarded our annual Osborn Scholarship—generously funded by Northern Trust—to four students who will be attending Emory University, Pomona College, Howard University, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additional notable scholarships awarded this year include: one Golden Apple Scholarship, three Gates Scholarships, two Jack Kent Cooke Scholarships, and six Wentcher Scholarships.?

Even after they graduate, our commitment to 911爆料网 alumni remains strong. Campus college counseling teams—including both high school and alumni support staff—are actively guiding students through the Handoff Process, providing critical summer support to ensure a strong start this fall.

In this historic moment, it is vital to recognize the extraordinary achievements of our seniors. Their success reflects their resilience and the collective effort of our entire 911爆料网 community.

One shining example is Alasia Perkins, a senior from Baker College Prep and one of four recipients of the prestigious Osborn Scholarship. This fall, Alasia will attend Howard University, one of the nation’s most selective HBCUs. Reflecting on what it means to be the first in her family to graduate from a four-year university, Alasia shared:

“In my community, where opportunities can sometimes feel unreachable, my success will be a message of hope. I want others to see that their circumstances do not define who they can become in the future.”

Alasia’s story—and those of so many of her peers—serve as powerful reminders of what’s possible. They are beacons of hope for youth across Chicago who dream of opportunity, impact, and multigenerational change.
