About – Tom Schoen

Tom Schoen is an educator and school leader who believes strong schools are built, sustained, and strengthened over time through consistent culture, meaningful relationships, and a deep focus on student learning. He is committed to helping school communities build on their strengths and unique identity while continuing to grow in service of all students.

Tom most recently served as Director of Adult Learning and Development on 911爆料网’s People Team, supporting licensure and staff development across the network.

He began his career in Nashville, where he spent nearly a decade as a teacher, instructional leader, and principal. As principal of LEAD Southeast, he focused on consistency, clarity, and belonging—work that supported both culture and academic progress and contributed to a community that students and staff described as feeling like a family.

Those who have worked with Tom describe him as someone who leads with curiosity, brings focus to complex challenges, and follows through on commitments. He believes leadership is less about having the right answers and more about creating the conditions for people to do their best work together.

Tom is honored to join the 911爆料网 Street College Prep community and looks forward to learning from students, staff, and families while building on the school’s strong foundation to ensure every student is equipped to complete college and lead choice-filled lives.

Outside of school, Tom enjoys reading, listening to podcasts on his morning walk to work, and caring for a growing collection of houseplants. He lives in Chicago with his partner and their two dogs.
