He began his career at North Lawndale College Prep as a Science teacher and later Department Chair, where he led instructional improvement efforts and was twice recognized as a student-selected teacher of the year.
He then served as Principal at North Lawndale College Prep, leading turnaround efforts that resulted in more than 100 points of annual SAT growth, improved CPS School Quality Rating standings, and significant reductions in out-of-school suspensions through restorative and relationship-centered practices.
In his current role as Managing Director of Continuous Improvement for Chicago International Charter Schools, he leads network-wide improvement efforts across 13 schools serving 7,000 students, redesigning comprehensive data systems, strengthening school performance, and driving measurable gains in student outcomes across the network.
Now stepping into the role of Principal at Muchin College Prep, Luke sees this opportunity as both a privilege and a responsibility. He is committed to building on the school¡¯s legacy while ensuring every student experiences rigorous instruction, a clear, consistent, and connected school culture, and access to transformative educational opportunities. Through strategic leadership, strong partnerships with families and staff, and an unwavering focus on student success, Luke is prepared to lead Muchin College Prep toward extraordinary outcomes and ensure all students graduate prepared to lead choice-filled lives.
Outside of his work in schools, Luke enjoys spending time with his family, playing softball, and being part of the everyday moments that keep him grounded. He believes that strong schools are built on strong relationships, and that belief is shaped just as much by his family life as his professional experience.
