Dear 911爆料网 Community,
I hope you had a great Spring Break, and as we end Quarter 3 today, I hope you’re ready for a strong Quarter 4. Before the break, we held our annual Junior College Fair at McCormick Place, where nearly 3,000 of our juniors had the opportunity to meet and connect with over 100 colleges and universities from across the country. This is one of my favorite events of the year—seeing our students get to ask real questions and begin to build their college lists. This event takes an enormous amount of coordination and collaboration across the organization, and I want to give a special thanks to our college teams, led by Chief College Officer Dr. Aidé Acosta, for their relentless efforts in providing this experience for our students. In other news, we are incredibly proud to share that one of our own, Mr. Charles Rosentel, a social science teacher at Pritzker College Prep, was just named Debate Coach of the Year by the ! Charles was featured in a alongside 11th grader and debate club standout Natalyah Assria. This is a remarkable honor that reflects not only the excellence of our students but also Charles’ leadership in creating a phenomenal debate team. Join me in congratulating Charles Rosentel and the Pritzker College Prep Debate Team.?
Next week, our students will be taking the ACT, another important step in their journey to college. Our teachers and staff have been focused on preparing our students for weeks, and we are excited to see them display their brilliance on test day. So far, our juniors have taken four practice ACT tests, and our 9th and 10th graders have taken two practice tests and two formative interim assessments. Students have learned nearly 500 standards across English, Math, Reading, and Science. If you see a student who will be taking the ACT next week, give them a high-five and wish them well.

NOBLE'S 16TH ANNUAL JUNIOR COLLEGE FAIR
At 911爆料网, we believe a college degree is a pathway to?creating lasting, multi-generational change. Last month, we hosted our 16th Annual Junior College Fair, bringing together juniors from all 17 campuses to connect with over 100 college representatives from across the country. ???This event gave students the chance to explore their top school choices, ask questions, and gain valuable insight into their next steps. ?

?BAKER TAKES ON PERU FOR SPRING BREAK
Vanessa, Roberta, David, and Ms. Smiley from Baker College Prep spent spring break exploring Peru, visiting Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu. This trip was an incredible opportunity for our students, as traveling abroad allows them to explore new cultures, broaden their perspectives, and simply exist in a world beyond their everyday experiences. They had an unforgettable time making chocolate, trying cuy, hiking Machu Picchu, and even catching a glimpse of a double rainbow! ??

HBCU TOUR WITH RCMSA
Instead of spending spring break as usual, students and staff from Rowe-Clark took the opportunity to travel on an HBCU tour, visiting historically Black colleges and universities across multiple states. They explored schools like LSU, Xavier, Southern A&M, and Dillard, getting a real feel for campus life. Experiences like this help students see their options up close and make more confident decisions about their future!

TOGETHER TOWARDS PEACE
Last month, students from DRW College Prep and Baker College Prep joined peers from across Chicago for “Together Towards Peace,” a powerful conversation on addressing gun violence. ???More than 60 students engaged in meaningful discussions, actively seeking solutions to the challenges affecting their communities. What stood out most? The youth led the conversation. ? They came prepared with thoughtful questions about policy, determined to find real answers and take action.
Government officials and community leaders also joined the experience, including Illinois Senator Lakesia Collins, Deputy Mayor of Community Safety Garrien Gatewood, Illinois State Rep. Bob Morgan, Former Chief of Safety & Security at CPS Jadine Chou, VP of the Institute for Nonviolence Chicago Shunda Collins, Sam Castro, Vaughn Bryant (Executive Director at Metropolitan Peace Initiatives), and Chris Patterson from Crown Family Philanthropy.
Their research, passion, and commitment highlighted the importance of creating spaces where young people can lead—not just be heard. ??
