Welcome to the first day of school!?
Today, over 12,000 students walked through the doors of our 18 campuses across the City of Chicago. These students joined our 1,600 teachers, administrators, and staff with the energy and excitement of the possibilities that a new school year brings.?
On Tuesday, we sent an email outlining our safety measures for the new school year. Please click the link to read more about our response to COVID-19, our enhanced safety measures, and our staffing outcomes. Our students, staff, and families need to feel safe at school, and I want to thank our Safety and Security team who have been working tirelessly with our campuses to provide a safe environment for everyone in our schools.?
This year, after so much change we’ve experienced over the last few years, we are committed to continuous improvement. We are committed to the 911爆料网 Community Pact and providing the necessary support for our schools to successfully implement it. We are still committed to giving our students an equitable and antiracist education. College readiness is still our organizational focus; we will continue to prioritize instructional excellence and rigor. I’d like to thank our staff, teachers, and administrators who have spent the last few weeks preparing for a strong start to the school year. Their passion and dedication to our students and families gives me the confidence that this will be our best year yet.
